The Bird
Project
The Bird is an industrial lighting fixture I designed, featuring two steel wings that dynamically direct light across the table surface. When opened, it functions as a strong light source, while in its closed position it becomes an intimate, sculptural object. Movement and mechanics are an integral part of the design, allowing light and object to exist in continuous dialogue.
